Sponsor focus: Lloyd's
—
In 1987, Lloyd’s established the Lloyd’s Loan Fund to enable more businesses to get started through East London Small Business Centre.
The fund, worth £90,000, was given to East London Small Business Centre, with a vision to reach the unemployed and support local businesses, who have been unable to access funding from traditional sources.
During the past 23 years, that same fund has been lent and recycled to the value of £493,477 and as a result helped over 134 entrepreneurs.
In addition to the loan fund, Lloyd’s has played an active role in supporting East London Small Business Centre and its clients, with members of the Lloyd’s team sitting on our board and loan fund panels.
