In addition to our not-for-profit status, we run a registered charity. This specifically tackles unemployment by getting people into work by setting up in business
In 1993, we created a charity to work with long-term unemployed people in the community, and support them towards self-employment.
Through grassroots outreach work we advertise our services to clients of job centres, members of community groups and those needing help with getting onto the employment ladder.
Our tailored business training and start-up programmes are all available through the charity. These programmes help many to achieve financial independence.
In the current economic climate, we have stepped up our outreach work to increase our effectiveness in tackling higher levels of unemployment.
